Arsenal Confirm Striker Nicklas Bendtner Out For At Least Four Weeks
Groin problem rules forward out for a month...
The Gunners ran out 3-0 winners in the match but the Dane had to be substituted in the first half after picking up a knock.
That injury now looks set to rule him out for the next month with Wenger admitting that it looks quite a serious problem.
The Frenchman told BBC Sport: "He's got a groin problem, it's quite serious and he could be out four weeks at least."
The news is likely to be a blow for Arsenal with the 21-year-old becoming an increasingly important figure at the Emirates this season.
He has made 13 appearances for the north Londoners so far, scoring three goals in the process and was on hand to hit the winner in midweek to send Arsenal past Liverpool and into the last eight of the League Cup.
Bendtner is expected to be unavailable for the forthcoming games against AZ Alkmaar and Standard Liege in the Champions League and Premier League ties with Wolves, Sunderland and Chelsea.
